The DHT11 is the most commonly used temperature and humidity sensor in Indian maker projects. Single-wire digital protocol, 3-5V operation, and direct Arduino/ESP32 library support make it the fastest way to add environmental sensing to any project.
The DHT11 is the right choice when accuracy of ±2°C and a 0-50°C range is acceptable — which covers most indoor monitoring applications. If you need ±0.5°C accuracy, a wider -40 to 80°C range, or outdoor installation, choose our DHT22 instead (₹149 vs ₹59).
VCC → 5V, GND → GND, DATA → Digital pin 2 (with 10kΩ pull-up to VCC). Use the DHT library by Adafruit in Arduino IDE. Works identically with ESP32 and NodeMCU at 3.3V.
