The BMP280 from Bosch measures barometric pressure (300–1100 hPa) and temperature (-40 to 85°C) with ±1 hPa accuracy. This pressure accuracy translates to approximately ±1 metre altitude resolution — making it the standard sensor for weather stations and indoor navigation projects.
Using the barometric formula with sea-level pressure as reference (1013.25 hPa), the BMP280 can estimate altitude to within 1 metre. Combine with the MPU-6050 for a full 9-DOF navigation system (add a magnetometer for the final 3 axes).
